The Noble Research Institute, LLC is seeking a Greenhouse Assistant 1 to assist with planting, plant care and managing seeds stocks in the greenhouses of the Institute's Research Greenhouse Facility. This position will be under the direction of David McSweeney.

Job duties include but are not limited to planting, harvesting, and managing plants and seed stocks, as well as proactive monitoring of plants for pest and plant nutrition problems and participating in weekend and holiday rotation with other greenhouse staff. Inform lab members of specific pest or plant nutrition problems and apply appropriate measures to control or eradicate the problems.
Assist in maintaining a disease-free growth environment by reporting potential problem areas such as pests, disease and nutritional deficiencies. Also maintain sanitary growing conditions in assigned areas.
A minimum of high school graduate or equivalent is required. Candidates with good communication skills and ability to organize and work efficiently in a team environment are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with plants is desired.
Because of the physical demands of this position, the selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a work steps test.
