The Noble Research Institute LLC in Ardmore, Oklahoma, is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to assist with all aspects of lab, greenhouse and field tasks to support the scientific research objectives of the Mycology program directed by Dr. Carolyn Young. The successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of Dr. Nikki Charlton.
The regular work schedule for these positions is up to 5 days per week during the normal 8:00 am to 5:00 pm work day. These positions will be for a minimum of 20 hours per week up to a maximum of 28 hours per week.
Part-time positions are not eligible for benefits.

The successful candidate(s) will assist with all aspects of lab, greenhouse and/or field research to support the research objectives of the lab. Duties will include, but are not limited to media preparation, plant sample collection and processing, data collection, basic molecular experiments (i.e. genomic DNA extraction, PCR) as well as other duties as assigned.
No minimum education requirement. Must be at least 16 years of age by first day of employment. Experience in research and willingness to learn and master new research techniques and be genuinely interested in scientific investigations is preferred.
Because of the physical demands of this position, the selected candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete a work step examination.
