The Noble Research Institute's Computer Services Desktop Support team is seeking a part-time Desktop Systems Specialist to join our Help Desk team. The ideal candidate will work as a team member interfacing with other disciplines within the Computing Services department as well as the user population to provide customer service related to systems troubleshooting and equipment deployment.
The regular work schedule for this position is up to 5 days per week during the normal 8:00 am to 5:00 pm work day. This position will be limited to 28 hours per week and no more than 130 hours per month.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting end–users with application, operating system and connectivity issues. Serves as initial contact for service related issues. Interfaces with systems administrators and application developers on service/installation issues and projects. Assists in enterprise–wide hardware and software deployment projects. Manages and maintains equipment checkout system.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field with 2 years of customer service and systems troubleshooting experience required; non-technical degree with 2 years of desktop support experience will be considered; excellent written and oral communications skills as well as organizational skills are required; experience in virtualized computing environment preferred. Experience with KACE or other desktop systems management platforms preferred.
Because of the physical demands of this position, the selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a work steps test.
