The Noble Research Institute LLC in Ardmore, Oklahoma, is seeking a Full Time Temporary Research Associate 1 to assist with all aspects of lab and field work to support the scientific research objectives of a land stewardship and ecosystem services funded project. The successful candidate will perform research on soils, plants and ecosystems related to land stewardship in the Southern Great Plains of the United States. This position will be under the direct supervision of Shawn Norton with research being supervised jointly between Ag Systems and Technology and the Industry Relations and Stewardship group.
This a temporary position with initial funding through 2019. Funding is anticipated to be renewed annually based upon performance and funding availability for a potential of three years.

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to soil, vegetation and sampling analysis, of land stewardship field experiments. Also, this position will support the work of research with both Ag Systems and Technology and the Industry Relations and Stewardship efforts.
Bachelor degree in range/pasture management, agronomy, soils, agriculture, or related field is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required. Training in soils and some experience working with sampling is preferred. The successful candidate should be self-motivated to work independently and coordinate successfully with team members.
Because of the physical demands of this position, the selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a work steps test.
