The Noble Research Institute, LLC is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for continuing research on an NSF-funded project (cf. NSF-PGRP 1444549; https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=1444549) focusing on exploration of small secreted peptides in the model legume Medicago truncatula. The project work includes biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics and genomics techniques. The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a significant background in the above mentioned areas, demonstrated proficiency in modern approaches to plant research, and an appropriate publication record in international plant research journals. Research will be in the Molecular Plant Nutrition group under the direction of Dr. Wolf Scheible and in collaboration with intra- and extramural project partners.
With the approval of an extension through NSF in 2019 this temporary Postdoctoral Fellow position may be funded until the mid-year and potentially to the end of 2020.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, diligent and timely design and implementation of experiments, complete data analysis and interpretation, preparing results and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and participation in the Institute’s professional development program.
A Ph.D. in biological sciences or related field is required. Experience with Medicago truncatula is beneficial but not required.
