The Noble Research Institute, LLC is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to perform research leading to the development of nitrogen-fixing bacterial endophytes of wheat. Research will be conducted in the Functional Genomics group under the direction of Dr. Michael Udvardi.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and implementation of experiments in the laboratory and/or greenhouse. The primary duties and assignments will be to perform research related to associative nitrogen fixation by bacterial endophytes of wheat. Other duties of the position will include, but are not limited to, diligent and timely design and implementation of research activities, complete data analysis and interpretation, preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and participation in the Institute’s professional development program.
A Ph.D. in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or a related field is required. Experience in microbial molecular genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry and/or physiology is highly desirable. Knowledge of bacterial metabolism and/or plant-microbe interactions would be advantageous. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential.
